Well, my weekend is about to end and I figure I have time for one or two more treadmill reviews before you go to bed. In about 10 hours it’s back to the grindstone of work and school. Most of you probably have the same problem! Anyway, I won’t bore you with too many details my life this time and not just get straight into my Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill review.

Back at the treadmill shop I used to work at we would all crowd around whenever we set up one of the more expensive pieces of fitness equipment. There was always some cool little feature like it was compatible with PlayStation or it was designed so sturdy you could take a sledgehammer to the console and it wouldn’t have a scratch. The Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill is one of those high-end treadmills that I would probably be clamoring to try out if I still worked back at the treadmill shop. The signature feature of the Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill is a self-propelled folding deck. That means all you have to do is press the button and the treadmill will raise the deck into the upright position all by itself. This is a great feature for older people who only plan on walking with their treadmill.

The deck is 20″ x 60”. That is just about the largest running area you’re going to find in a residential great treadmill. You could probably spend about two to three thousand more and get something a little bigger, but I doubt anyone feels the need to spend that much money on a treadmill unless you own a public gym. The motor is rated at 3.0 HP, which is just as powerful as some commercial grade treadmills and will withstand workouts from the largest of users. It’s was also pretty quiet when we tried it out compared to other treadmills in this price range.

As with just about every treadmill in this price range you get heart rate control, but, smooth fitness capitalize smooth fitness also includes a wireless chest strap to go with it. Most treadmill companies do not include a wireless chest strap with their treadmills. It’s nice to see that Smooth Fitness is going the extra mile to add value to their products. Heart rate control is important for weight loss! Heart rate control enables users to set a specific heart rate and the treadmill will automatically adjust speed and incline to maintain that heart rate. Just as there are optimal speeds for maximum fuel economy, there are optimal heart rates for weight loss. Look up your optimal heart rate for weight loss, program that heart rate into the treadmill console, and you’ll be burning calories as fast as your body can possibly burn them.

My only quibble with the Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill is the top speed. I fully expect treadmills in the $2000 range to offer a full 12 mph top speed. With the Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill you get an 11.2 mph top speed. Normally, I am not one to complain about the little stuff but if I’m going to shell out $2000 for treadmill I expect the best.

Final Analysis
Overall, the Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill is an excellent treadmill. You get a two year parts and labor warranty that will be serviced by professional customer service team. It’s one of the most comfortable and quiet treadmill. The Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill comes equipped with state-of-the-art fitness programs and heart rate control to help users burn calories faster than they otherwise could. The Smooth 7.6 HR Pro Treadmill even has a unique automated deck fold up system that makes this treadmill easy for older or infirm individuals to use. My only complaint is that this treadmill is not as fast as other treadmills in this price range. Despite its flaws, I’m sure you’ll be happy if you decide to bring this treadmill.
