I’ve been e-mailing local treadmill repairman asking them for favor. I really want to start making video treadmill reviews and I would like to find a general repair shop that will allow me to record treadmill and elliptical trainer reviews. So, if you have a treadmill repair issue and you live in the Los Angeles area send me an e-mail first. I might know someone who can help you out. Now that I have some news out of the way it’s time I get into my NordicTrack 1500s Commercial Treadmill.

The NordicTrack 1500 Commercial Treadmill is one of the most popular NOrdicTrack treadmills right now. I know I have come down on Icon Fitness many times in the past for offering subpar equipment, but Icon Fitness actually does a pretty good job with the NordicTrack 1500s Commercial Treadmill. First off, you get a 12 mile for our top speed and that is pretty good for the $1250 price tag. Most treadmills in this price range come with a top speed of 11 mph, and in the worst cases 10 mph. So, at the very least you get a pretty fast treadmill for relatively small amount of money. Another impressive spec on this treadmill is the 20″ x 60″ running area. Most treadmills that retail between $1200 and $1300 offer an 18” or 20” x 55″ running area. It’s easy to see why I’m very happy with this treadmill right off the bat.

One thing Icon Fitness does really well is interactivity and features. The NordicTrack 1500s Commercial Treadmill comes with at times the fitness programs and action features that will go a long way in keeping you motivated and making the most efficient use of your time on the treadmill. Just a handful of the features on this treadmill are an MP3 port, cooling fan, and one easiest street consoles I have ever use.

This is the point in my treadmill review where I would normally go to town on an Icon Fitness, parent company of NordicTrack. But, I really can’t. My main gripe is normally an incredibly short, virtually useless warranty. But Icon Fitness pulls through with a one-year parts and labor guarantee. This is pretty much in line with just about every treadmill manufacturer out there. The only thing I will say is I don’t quite trust the 3.0 HP motor rating. But even if it is a hyped up rating you’re covered by a 12 year motor guarantee.

Final Analysis:
I know I sound very upbeat about this treadmill, and that’s mostly because I’m almost always disappointed by an Icon Fitness treadmill or elliptical trainer. The NordicTrack 1500s Commercial Treadmill is very much an average treadmill and for NordicTrack that is an accomplishment!
