NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill

NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill

Hello readers,

Treadmill Review: NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill
Price: $699

I know it has been quite sometime since I’ve posted. Things have been busy! I had a bunch of psychology tests all squeezed together because my professor likes to talk and well, we just didn’t get to our tasks on schedule. Also, next week is finals and I’m pretty sure I will be studying for finals until Monday. But, I do have a little bit of time to talk about the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill I decided to review the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill because it is one of the most searched for treadmills on the Internet. The NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill is manufactured by NordicTrack, a subsidiary of Icon Fitness. If you have done any research on your treadmill purchase yet you will know that Icon Fitness also makes Proform treadmills. What I think of the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill? Read my review and find out.

The NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill comes with a 2.0 HP motor. I spent quite a bit of time today trying to figure out if that is a continuous duty rating or a peak horsepower rating. As I’ve said many times before there is a huge difference between each rating system and the continuous duty rating is the best to go by you are on the buying and of a treadmill purchase. Unfortunately my research did not yield an answer, but I sent an e-mail to NordicTrack and hopefully they’ll be a link back to me soon. If they ever provide me with an answer I’ll post it here right away.

One thing Icon Fitness definitely does better than any other treadmill company is special features. There are more special features on this treadmill then anyone could possibly ever need or want on a treadmill. My favorite special feature is the iFit compatibility that comes with the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill. iFit is an exercise and workout program that is designed to keep you motivated and continue to challenge you. If you outgrow a particular set of programs or just want to change to something different you can always add a new iFit program card and get a whole new set of workouts. It’s also a great way to fight the tedium that can sometimes discourage people, even me from working out!

Sadly, I still can’t say this is a great buy. Truth is, if money were even a factor I would still choose the Horizon T91 Treadmill over the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill because of my very positive experiences with the Horizon T91 Treadmill. It is comfortable, ran by a group of competent customer service oriented owners, and they rarely if ever break down. I am very hesitant to buy the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill just because it is made by Icon Fitness, a company I have terrible personal experience with. Also, it is than my general experience that Horizon Fitness makes a much better treadmill than NordicTrack. To cap it all off the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill is about $100 more expensive than the Horizon T91 Treadmill.

Overall, the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill is a decent treadmill. But, there’s several other treadmills in this price range that offer the same or similar features for the same amount of money or less. There really is a no-brainer here, I strongly advise my readers to purchase a Horizon T91 Treadmill over the NordicTrack C1255 Treadmill, but I also realize a few of my readers will gladly take a little less comfort and a higher price tag to benefit from the iFit fitness program feature. You have my decision, make your choice.
