The Smooth 6.75 Treadmill is one of the more expensive treadmills in the Smooth Fitness treadmill line. This treadmill retails for about $1500 and includes free shipping to just about anywhere in the continental United States. I do want to mention that this treadmill can often be found on sale for $100 or $200 off. If you are considering the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill try to catch the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill when Smooth Fitness is having a sale. Before I get into a full review of the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill I want to mention that Smooth Fitness has a very high customer satisfaction rate unlike some other treadmill manufacturers out there. In the off chance you buy a Smooth Fitness treadmill and you need some warranty service or to speak with their customer service department for any reason your experience is probably going to be a pleasant and fast one. Trust me, Smooth Fitness really does care about their customers and it shows in their customer service!

The Smooth 6.75 Treadmill is definitely one of the better treadmills out there. You get a 3.0 HP motor that can propel the belt of this treadmill up to 12 mph. There are a lot of treadmills in this price range that are equipped with a 2.5 HP motor and have a top speed of 10 mph. I strongly urge you to avoid these treadmills as they are outclassed by many Sole Fitness and Smooth Fitness treadmills. In fact, a good rule of thumb is to get at least a 3.0 HP motor if you are spending $1400 or more on a treadmill. Anything less and you know you are dealing with a company that thinks it can pull a fast one on you pass and sell low quality equipment for practically criminal prices. Treadmill motors are important because stronger treadmill motors can support more users, bigger users, and longer use. Simply put, the stronger the motor the longer your treadmill will last.

Most of the other specs on the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill are just about in line with the average for treadmills in this price range. You get a 20″ x 60″ running area which should be enough for people who are as tall as 6’2″, maybe even 6’3″. I just measured myself yesterday and found out that I’m just over 6’1″ so it goes without saying that I know what a tall person would require for a treadmill in terms of space. The Smooth 6.75 Treadmill comes with 12 fitness programs including a heart rate control program that automatically adjusts speed and incline to maintain a specific heart rate. Heart rate control is important for people who are serious about losing weight. Specific heart rate zones are better for burning calories and fat than others and you can program the computer to keep your heart pumping at an optimum range for weight loss.

There are also a couple areas where the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill really shines. The Smooth 6.75 Treadmill has a stellar parts and labor warranty. Parts are covered by the warranty for five years after the date of purchase and labor is covered for two years. I don’t think I need give you all a lecture on why a longer warranty is better than a shorter warranty. Five years is one of the longest parts warranty spans I’ve seen on fitness equipment in this price range. If you don’t think this is such a big deal check out the average cost of a treadmill motor. You’ll be paying at least 100 bucks plus shipping if your motor goes out! The 15% incline is also above average for treadmills in this price range. Incline allows you to simulate running uphill and is great for people trying to build cardiovascular endurance or some extra leg strength.

Final Reccomendation
My final rating for the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill is 4/5. I like this treadmill for married of reasons including it is manufactured by Smooth Fitness, a company that is known for being very customer friendly as well as some of the better fitness equipment out there. The Smooth 6.75 Treadmill also has one of the better warranties in the industry for the $1400-$1600 price range, something a former fitness equipment industry worker can really appreciate. Add to that a strong motor and a very high top speed of 12 mph and you got yourself an excellent treadmill. Smooth Fitness, you have earned an excellent score of 4/5!
