Treadmill Review: Proform XP 690T Treadmill
Treadmill Rating: 1/5 for feeling like a trampoline
Price: $1300
I tried out the Proform XP 690T Treadmill at a Sears store at the West Covina Plaza. My time on the Proform XP 690T Treadmill left a very strong impression on me and now I’m ready to share what type of impression that was. The rest of my Proform XP 690T Treadmill review to find out if this treadmill is worth buying.
Have you ever been on a trampoline? If you have, know that it’s kind of hard to run on it. Oh sure, if you time the bounces right you can catch some speed, but a trampoline is built for jumping more than it is built for running. If you ever have a chance to try out the Proform XP 690T Treadmill like I have noticed that the deck of this treadmill is a lot like a trampoline. It’s very bouncy. I’m sure there is a small segment of population would enjoy the feel of running on a trampoline but not me and probably not you. I do not like to feel of the Proform XP 690T Treadmill one bit and I would rather go with something from Sole or Horizon Fitness. I’ve tried several treadmills from these two companies and they rarely seem to let me down when it comes to quality.
The features built into the Proform XP 690T Treadmill are pretty average considering the price tag. The Proform XP 690T Treadmill comes with a 2.5 hp motor, but for the same amount of money you can get a 3.0 motor which is going to be able to handle users that are much heavier at higher speeds without any performance issues.
Starr couple features I like. Proform tends to do a lot of the extra features like iPod compatibility very well. When I tried this treadmill out I had my iPod shuffle with me and I can attest to how well the speakers work. If you’re looking for a treadmill with iPod compatibility I doubt you’ll find too many other treadmills with better speakers than the Proform XP 690T Treadmill.
Final Analysis
I suppose I could go into more details about the features but I really see no point. The feel of a treadmill is the most important aspect to consider in a treadmill review and the Proform XP 690T Treadmill feels like a trampoline. If you’re looking for a good treadmill and willing to spend $1300 please buy something by Sole Fitness or
